Canceled 8/16/26 11:08 AM Flash Flood Warning issued August 16 at 10:03AM EDT until August 16 at 11:15AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA At 1003 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.8 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Parsons, Hendricks, Hambleton, Elk, Blackwater Falls, Red Creek, Canaan Valley State Park, Davisville, Cortland and Pheasant Run. Roads were flooded and impassible along River Road and Rt 72 just southeast of Hendricks. ![]() |
