At 124 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a band of strong gusty winds, well out ahead of approaching storms. These winds extend from 11 miles southwest of Graham to 10 miles west of Cary to near Clayton. Movement was south at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Fayetteville, Cary, Sanford, Southern Pines, Smithfield, Pittsboro, Lillington, Carthage and Siler City.
