At 1239 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of showers and embedded thunderstorms along a line extending from near Ingram to 10 miles south of Sanford. Movement was northeast at 25 mph.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph will be possible with these storms.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Sanford, Oxford, Roxboro, Hillsborough, Creedmoor and Pittsboro.
