...A LINE OF GUSTY SHOWERS WILL AFFECT MINGO...SOUTH CENTRAL KANAWHA... SOUTH CENTRAL LINCOLN...NORTHWESTERN RALEIGH...LOGAN AND BOONE COUNTIES...
At 315 AM EST, radar indicated showers were located along a line extending from near Julian to near Mount Gay-Shamrock to near Whitepost. Movement was east at 50 mph.
Wind gusts up to 45 mph are possible with these showers. This may be enough do down weakly rooted or diseased trees and limbs, especially given the wet grounds.
Locations impacted include...
Williamson, Madison, Logan, Chapmanville, Man, Delbarton, Van, Mount Gay-Shamrock, Bald Knob, Chief Logan State, Holden, Mallory, Burnwell, Amherstdale-Robinette, Red Jacket, Wharton, Chattaroy, Hinch, Gilbert Creek and Danville.
This includes the following highways...
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 69 and 71.
Route 119 between mile markers 1 and 54.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these showers, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
