At 621 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles southwest of Boomer to 9 miles west of Hickory to 9 miles northeast of Forest City. Movement was east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Hickory, Statesville, Shelby, Newton, Lincolnton, Forest City, Taylorsville, Gastonia, Kings Mountain and St. Stephens.
