Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...
A majority of the central North Carolina Piedmont and western Sandhills.

* WHEN...
From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations, especially those that saw flooding on Sunday and Monday from the remnants of Chantal. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Slow moving thunderstorms capable of producing torrential rainfall over already saturated soils may result in flooding this afternoon and evening.
