At 622 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles southeast of Biscoe, or 12 miles southeast of Troy, moving southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Pinehurst, Mount Gilead, Ellerbe, Foxfire, Candor, Taylortown, Norman, Derby, Eagle Springs, and Covington.
This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 26 and 48.
