At 341 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms across the Sandhills. The strongest storm was located near Hoffman, or 10 miles east of Rockingham, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Laurinburg, Southern Pines, Rockingham, Raeford, Pinehurst, Hamlet, Aberdeen, Hoffman, Antioch and Whispering Pines.
