...SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS INDICATED ACROSS SOUTHEAST WEST VIRGINIA AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA...
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms were developing and moving into the region early this morning. One area extended from Peterstown to Bland, another extended from Pickaway to Bluefield to Tazewell, and another line from Rainelle to Beckley. All of the activity was moving southeast at 35 to 45 mph.
Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning can be expected with these storms as well as very heavy rainfall for a brief period of time. Pea size hail is possible with the stronger storms. Overall, lightning and heavy rainfall will be the primary threats as these storms are expected to remain below severe limits during the next hour.

and Princeton.
This includes The following Locations The West Virginia State Fairgrounds and Mercer County Airport.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
