Canceled 10/11/26 8:51 AM Flood Advisory issued October 11 at 7:20AM EDT until October 11 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE... Western Rockingham County in north central North Carolina... Stokes County in north central North Carolina... Southeastern Surry County in northwestern North Carolina... Henry County in south central Virginia... The City of Martinsville in south central Virginia... Patrick County in southwestern Virginia... Southern Franklin County in west central Virginia... * WHEN... Until 900 AM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, in addition to rises in small streams and creeks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 716 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy has moved out of the advisory area, leaving light to occasionally moderate rain. However, heavier rain earlier this morning continues to support rapid rises on creeks and streams, a few of which have experienced minor flooding. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen overnight. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Bassett Branch, Belews Creek, Beaver Creek, Big Beaver Island Creek, Anglin Branch, Ararat River, Archies Creek and Baker Branch. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
