At 307 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with torrential rainfall 9 miles northwest of Lenoir, or 8 miles northwest of Gamewell. This storm was nearly stationary.
Locations to be impacted include...
Lenoir, Gamewell, Globe, Collettsville, Patterson, Upton, and Edgemont.
Very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas. The upper reaches of the Johns River and Mulberry Creek may see rapid rises before the storm dissipates.
