Flash Flood Warning issued July 9 at 9:39PM EDT until July 10 at 12:45AM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA
At 939 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain from thunderstorms earlier this evening has exited the warned area, leaving only light to occasionally moderate rainfall. However, between 1 and locally 3 inches of rain have fell with the thunderstorms. Runoff from this rainfall continues to collect within local creeks and stream. In addition, rounds of locally heavy rain may return to the warned area later this evening. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
