...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM EDT FOR NORTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON...NORTHEASTERN MORGAN AND NORTH CENTRAL BERKELEY COUNTIES...
At 246 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Wilson-Conococheague, or 11 miles east of Hancock, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.
Locations impacted include...
Wilson-Conococheague, Maugansville, Clear Spring, Pecktonville, Big Spring, Big Pool, Middleburg, Cherry Run, Johnsontown, Warrenton, Spruce Pine Hollow and Sleepy Creek.
