The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued the following...
WHAT...Air Quality Health Advisory for Ozone.
WHERE...Teller, El Paso, Pueblo, and eastern Fremont Counties.
Locations include, but are not limited to Cripple Creek, Colorado Springs, Canon City and Pueblo.
WHEN...200 PM Saturday May 30 to 800 PM Saturday May 30 IMPACTS...An intrusion of ozone from high in the atmosphere may result in ozone concentrations reaching the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category within the advisory area Saturday afternoon and evening. Ozone levels should gradually decrease Saturday evening.
HEALTH INFORMATION...Public Health Recommendations: Increasing likelihood of respiratory symptoms and breathing discomfort in active children and adults and people with lung disease, such as asthma. Active children and adults, and people with lung disease, such as asthma, should reduce prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion.
