* At 813 PM EDT, local law enforcement and doppler radar reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township, McCandless Township, Monroeville, Moon Township, McMurray, Weirton, McKeesport, Franklin Park, Aliquippa, Canonsburg, Gastonville, Shaler Township, Plum, West Mifflin and North Side Pittsburgh.
Water rescues were reported along Mifflin, Saw Mill Run, and Library roads. In addition, flash flooding is possible at Pine Creek and Turtle Creek. Additional heavy rain is expected to move across the warned are this evening.
