Lawrence County in northeastern Kentucky...
Wayne County in western West Virginia...

* Until 100 AM EST.

* At 1005 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area in moderate to heavy rainfall rates. Rainfall runoff is becoming critical in the warned area where some flooding has already been occurring. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
