Flood Warning issued March 1 at 11:11AM EST by NWS Wilmington OH
The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a * Flood Warning for the Ohio River at Portsmouth.

* From Tuesday afternoon until further notice.

* At 11:00 AM EST Monday the stage was 44.7 feet.

* Flood stage is 50.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...
The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Tuesday morning to a crest of 54.2 feet early Wednesday afternoon.
It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning.

* Impact...
At 55.0 feet, Backwater flooding affects portions of Sciotoville, New Boston and other sections outside of the flood wall area. Backwater flooding along Pond Creek near West Portsmouth floods some county roads.
