Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following counties, Davie, Iredell and Rowan.

* WHEN...
Until 100 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1022 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Salisbury, Statesville, Mocksville, Mooresville, Troutman, Cooleemee, Cleveland, Lake Norman State Park, Lake Norman, Piedmont Research Station, Woodleaf, Mount Ulla, Fork Church and Advance.
