Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Portions of central Virginia and south central Virginia, including the following counties, in central Virginia, Appomattox, Buckingham and Campbell. In south central Virginia, Charlotte.

* WHEN...
Until 1115 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 809 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen since 7pm.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Bowler Creek, Abbott Branch, Bear Creek, Bear Branch, Beaverpond Branch, Alabama Creek, Austin Creek, Bent Creek, Brick Kiln Branch, Appomattox River and Blackfoot Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible over the area through 9pm. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
