At 718 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of showers and strong thunderstorms near across the Triangle and west towards the Triad, moving east at 20 mph.
Pea size hail and wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible with these storm.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Oxford, Hillsborough, Creedmoor, Wake Forest, Carrboro and Butner.
