Flood Advisory issued April 10 at 11:28PM EDT until April 11 at 1:15AM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA
At 1128 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated another round of heavy rain moving toward the Roanoke Valley. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen since late Saturday afternoon.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Roanoke, Salem, Vinton, Cave Spring and Hollins.
Additional rainfall of 0.5 to 1 inch is expected over the area through 1230am. This additional rain will result in minor and urban flooding.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Paint Bank Branch, Gum Spring Branch, Roanoke River, Mason Creek, Murray Run, Cook Creek, Carvin Creek, Back Creek, Gish Branch and Horners Branch.
