Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Bland and Tazewell and southeast West Virginia, including the following county, Mercer. * WHEN... Until 1130 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 827 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Deskin Creek, Burkes Garden Creek, Dry Fork, Clinch River and Bluestone River. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bluefield... Tazewell... Pocahontas... Bramwell... Tiptop...
