Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Western Montgomery County in central North Carolina...
Stanly County in central North Carolina...

* WHEN...
Until 800 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 505 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Albemarle, Badin Lake, Plyler, Locust, Norwood, Badin, Oakboro, Stanfield, Mount Gilead, Richfield, New London, Morrow Mountain State Park, Lake Tillery, Uwharrie Haven, Fish Tales Marina, Whip-O-Will Campground, Pinehaven Marina, Eldorado and Finger.
