Canceled 3/5/26 7:22 PM Flood Warning issued March 5 at 2:40PM EST until March 5 at 10:00PM EST by NWS Charleston WV * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE... A portion of southeast Ohio, including the following counties, Athens, Gallia, Jackson, Meigs, Vinton and Washington. * WHEN... Until 1000 PM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS... Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 236 PM EST, Strong rises on creeks and streams continue due to runoff from overnight rain. This has resulted in several flooded roads across the warned area. Some larger creeks experiencing minor flooding include the upper reaches of Raccoon Creek and the Shade River. - In the Chester community, expect flooding of portions of Scout Camp Road near the the river gauge on the Shade River as well as low-lying areas next to the river. In addition, flooding of low-lying areas along the Hocking River is possible tonight. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
