The Flood Warning continues for the Ohio River at Portsmouth.

* Until Friday evening.

* At 12:00 PM EST Tuesday the stage was 49.3 feet.

* Flood stage is 50.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...
The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 53.9 feet Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning.

* Impact...
At 53.5 feet, Flooding occurs in low areas of Ripley and Aberdeen, Ohio. Areas within the flood plain are increasingly inundated. Backwater and lowland flooding can be expected along the river. The City of Maysville itself is protected to a stage just above 79 feet.
