A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, Watauga and Wilkes. * WHEN... Until 1030 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 829 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Church Branch, Flat Branch, Clear Branch, Dugger Creek, Left Prong Stony Fork, Little Dugger Creek, Fall Creek, Elk Creek, Little Fork, Darnell Creek, Beaver Creek and Fish Dam Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
