Flood Warning issued March 1 at 5:06AM EST until March 1 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Blacksburg VA
At 506 AM EST, Heavy rainfall, locally up to 3 inches, fell across western Bath county late last night and early this morning.
Additional rainfall of an inch is possible through daybreak this morning. Moderate to major flooding is being observed along Back Creek above Lake Moomaw. Law enforcement reports that portions of VA Route 39 near Millboro were flooded.
Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Warm Springs, Hot Springs, Mountain Grove, Bacova Junction, Lake Moomaw, Ingalls Field and Callison.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Chimney Run, Cedar Creek, Cowpasture River, Brushy Lick, Bolshers Run and Back Creek.
Flooding is occurring along Back Creek at Route 39 near Millboro.
