Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
Portions of southwest Virginia and southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, in southwest Virginia, Bland, Smyth, Tazewell and Wythe. In southeast West Virginia, Mercer and Summers.

* WHEN...
Until 400 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 220 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Beaver Branch, Bluestone River, Big Spring Branch, Adair Run, Blue Spring Creek, Big Branch, Blacklick Creek and Beaver Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
