Canceled 6/14/25 2:39 AM Flood Advisory issued June 13 at 10:53PM EDT until June 14 at 2:45AM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE... Portions of central, south central, southwest, and west central Virginia, including the following counties, in central Virginia, Amherst. In south central Virginia, Bedford. In southwest Virginia, Craig. In west central Virginia, Botetourt and Rockbridge. * WHEN... Until 245 AM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1053 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Browns Creek, Allens Creek, Big Hollow Branch, Back Run, Allen Creek, Beckner Branch, Buck Branch, Buffalo Creek, Broad Creek, Barbours Creek, Back Creek, Buffalo River, Broad Run and Bore Auger Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Amherst...
