At 256 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Prospect Hill to 7 miles south of Rougemont to near Louisburg. Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Durham, Henderson, Oxford, Roxboro, Hillsborough, Creedmoor, Louisburg, Warrenton, Butner, and Franklinton.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 160 and 150.
Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 183 and 229.
