Special Weather Statement issued March 16 at 1:28PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH
A band of steady snow will overspread portions of the local area through this afternoon, causing reduced visibility. Light accumulations around one inch will be possible, primarily on grassy and elevated surfaces. Roads should remain primarily wet through the daytime.
Scattered snow showers will follow the steady snow and linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.
