* Through Monday morning * Additional rounds of rain are expected to occur this afternoon into tonight. The rain will be heavy at times, especially by tonight.
Total rainfall amounts by Monday morning will likely range from 2 to 4 inches for much of the area. This will result in flooding of many creeks, streams, and rivers. High water issues will likely also develop across some low lying and poor drainage areas as well. In the highest elevations of the West Virginia mountains, a melting snowpack will combine with the rainfall amounts over time which will enhance the flood threat further.
