Special Weather Statement issued April 5 at 3:12PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC
South to southwesterly winds will gust 20 to 35 mph at times.
Relative humidity values will fall to between 30 and 40 percent.
Given recent dry weather, fuels are very dry. Therefore, elevated fire danger will continue until about 8 PM before the winds gradually begin to weaken, humidity rises, and rain develops near and west of Interstate 81 toward north-central Maryland.
Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged during this time. Please refer to your local burn permitting authority on whether you can burn. If you do burn, use extreme caution and ensure fire suppression is readily available.
