At 628 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles southwest of Boomer, or 4 miles south of Elkville, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Taylorsville, Cedar Rock, Stony Point, Hiddenite, Kings Creek, Little River In Alexander County, Vashti, Millersville, Patterson, and Ellendale.
