At 659 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 12 miles northeast of Statesville to 9 miles east of Lincolnton to 7 miles east of Gaffney. Movement was east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Gastonia, Rock Hill, Uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, Kannapolis, Downtown Concord, Salisbury, Statesville, Shelby and Newton.
