At 522 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13 miles north of Rockingham, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Pea size hail and wind gusts up to 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Southern Pines, Carthage, Pinehurst, Biscoe, Whispering Pines, Ellerbe, Foxfire, Star, Candor and Taylortown.
