At 150 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15 miles northeast of Hendersonville, or near Chimney Rock Village, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lake Lure, Old Fort, Chimney Rock Village, Chimney Rock State Park, Bat Cave, Fairview In Buncombe County, Shingle Hollow, and Gerton.
