At 659 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Burnwell, or 17 miles west of Fayetteville, moving southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs, even trees in saturated soils, and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Beckley, Fayetteville, Oak Hill, Mount Hope, Bradley, Prosperity, Burnwell, Powellton, Piney View, Whitesville, Pax, Thurmond, Leewood, Eskdale, Dorothy and Artie.
This includes the following highways...
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 46 and 73, and between mile markers 76 and 77.
Route 19 between mile markers 1 and 16.
