At 154 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Mocksville to 9 miles south of Bermuda Run to near Cooleemee. Movement was southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lexington, Linwood, High Rock Lake Marina & Campground, High Rock Lake, and Welcome.
This includes Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 83 and 101.
