A portion of west central Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, Alleghany VA, Bath, Botetourt, City of Lexington and Rockbridge. * WHEN... Until 430 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 232 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Cabin Creek, Alum Creek, Broad Creek, Cedar Grove Branch, Calfpasture River, Buffalo Creek, Blue Suck Branch and Alone Mill Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area.
