Canceled 5/24/22 8:00 PM Flood Warning issued May 24 at 6:15PM EDT until May 24 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT... Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE... Parts of Giles and Pulaski counties in southwest Virginia. * WHEN... Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 606 PM EDT, Minor flooding is still ongoing along Walker Creek at Bane, but the creek is starting to fall after cresting near 12.6 feet around 4 PM EDT. It should fall below flood stage by 8 PM EDT this evening. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Sugar Run, Back Creek, Stony Creek, Sinking Creek, Little Stony Creek, Racepath Branch, Cecil Branch, New River, Dry Branch, Little Walker Creek, and Broad Hollow Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
