Avery, Mitchell, Yancey, and northwestern portions of Caldwell, Burke, and McDowell Counties in western North Carolina.

Until noon EST today.

* IMPACTS...
Icing may create slippery conditions on roads, bridges and sidewalks. The weight of the ice on tree limbs and power lines could produce isolated outages.
