At 355 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles southeast of Rockwell to near Plyler to near Midland to Unionville to Mineral Springs, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Albemarle, Wadesboro, Troy, Badin Lake, Biscoe, Ansonville, Plyler, Midland, Polkton, and Locust.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 85 near Mile Marker 83.
Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 46 and 60.
