A portion of western North Carolina.

* WHEN...
Until 10 AM EST this morning.

* IMPACTS...
Icing may create slippery conditions on roads, bridges and sidewalks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
Temperatures were hovering around 32 degrees across the area from Burnsville to Spruce Pine and Blowing Rock, and near the Blue Ridge Escarpment. Temperatures should rise above freezing by 10 am.
