At 839 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the northern Guilford county. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in the last hour in an area from Stokesdale and Summerfield across northern sections of Greensboro, including Interstate 840, to McLeansville. A few locations have had 4 inches in the last 3 hours. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
