Canceled 6/14/25 10:30 PM Flash Flood Warning issued June 14 at 8:39PM EDT until June 14 at 10:30PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC At 839 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the northern Guilford county. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in the last hour in an area from Stokesdale and Summerfield across northern sections of Greensboro, including Interstate 840, to McLeansville. A few locations have had 4 inches in the last 3 hours. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Greensboro, McLeansville, Summerfield, Stokesdale, Lake Townsend, Lake Townsend Marina, Lake Jeanette Marina, Haw River State Park, Monticello and Lake Brandt. ![]() |
