Portions of central, south central, and west central Virginia, including the following counties and independent cities, in central Virginia, Amherst. In south central Virginia, Bedford.
In west central Virginia, Alleghany VA, Botetourt, City of Buena Vista, City of Lexington and Rockbridge.

* WHEN...
Until 900 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 521 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Allen Creek, Brown Mountain Creek, Alum Creek, Back Creek, Beckner Branch, Broad Creek, Buffalo Creek, Back Run, Big Hollow Branch, Blue Suck Branch, Alone Mill Creek, Big Marys Creek and Browns Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
