At 518 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 14 miles north of Forest City to 13 miles northeast of Hendersonville to 11 miles west of Brevard. Movement was southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Hendersonville, Forest City, Brevard, Rutherfordton, Columbus, Mills River, Fletcher, Spindale, Flat Rock and Etowah.
