* WHAT...
Excessive rainfall of nearly 3 inches or more during the past hour.

* WHERE...
Yadkin County in northwest North Carolina.

* WHEN...
Until midnight EDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 850 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall impacting northeast and east central Yadkin county. Minor to modeerate flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in these parts of Yadkin county, more specifically in the East Bend area of the county.
Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen across the eastern part of the county with just over 3 inches estimated to have fallen just east of East Bend.
- Flooding is most likely in the northeast and east central part of Yadkin county, especially near East Bend.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Loney Creek, Martin Mill Creek, Yadkin River, Logan Creek and Little Yadkin River.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area during the next couple of hours. This additional rainfall will increase the threat for flooding and flash flooding. If conditions worsen, a Flash Flood Warning may be issued for parts of this area.
