Patchy dense fog will affect much of the Interstate-40 corridor from the Triad west to the Blue Ridge Escarpment. The fog is expected to persist into the later evening.
Visibility in the affected areas may decrease suddenly and over short distances. Motorists traveling in these areas should use extra caution. Slow down, increase following distance, and turn on your low-beam headlights.
