Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
Portions of southwest and west central Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, in southwest Virginia, City of Radford, Craig, Giles, Montgomery and Pulaski.
In west central Virginia, Roanoke.

* WHEN...
Until 645 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 342 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Dry Run, Elliott Creek, Craig Creek, Brush Creek, Eckels Branch, Crab Creek, Calhoun Run, Bonys Run, Dry Branch, Back Creek and Connellys Run.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
